I made this tonite. Followed a basic recipe and snazzed it up a bit. Very yummy ! Ingredients:
3 stalks celery chopped |
1 c. sliced carrots |
1 small onion chopped |
2 tbsp. olive oil |
3 tbsp. flour |
4 c. water |
3 tsp. vegetable or chicken bouillon |
1 tsp. minced garlic |
1/8 tsp. celery salt |
1 tsp. basil |
1 can seasoned diced tomatoes |
2 cans butter beans, drained |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Saute celery, carrots, and onion in oil 'til softened. Sprinkle with flour and stir 1 minute. 2. Slowly add water while stirring. 3. Add remaining ingredients except for the beans. 4. Simmer approx. 30 minutes. 5. Add beans and heat through. |
