A cookie I make every Christmas. Ingredients:
1 cup butter |
1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 1/4 cups flour |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
3/4 cup finely chopped walnuts |
1 cup sifted powdered sugar, for rolling |
Directions:
1. Cream softened butter, sugar and vanilla. 2. Sift together flour and salt. 3. Blend into butter mixture. 4. Mix in nuts. 5. Chill dough. 6. Roll into 1 balls. 7. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. 8. Bake at 400* for 10-12 minutes. 9. Roll in powdered sugar while still warm. 10. When cool roll again. 11. Store in covered container. |
