The only Casserole type dish my mom would make. You need very lean ground beef as the meat is not drained. Ingredients:
1 lb extra lean ground beef |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
2 cups potatoes (sliced) |
1 cup onion (sliced) |
1 (8 ounce) can cream of chicken soup or 1 (8 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup or 1 (8 ounce) can cream of celery soup |
1 (8 ounce) can water |
Directions:
1. Mix beef, salt and pepper together. Press into a 8x8 baking dish. 2. Place onions and potatoes in layers over meat. 3. Mix soup and 1 can water together then pour over meat. 4. Bake 2 hours covered with foil so it does not spatter. 5. Remove and let sit for 5 minutes before serving. |
