With frankfurters, beer-barbecue sauce and dill pickle. Ingredients:
1 cup barbecue sauce |
4 -6 dashes tabasco sauce |
1 garlic clove, chopped |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1 tablespoon mustard |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup beer |
3 lbs ground beef |
6 frankfurters |
12 hamburger buns |
24 dill pickle slices |
Directions:
1. To make sauce: Mix together first seven ingredients. 2. Let stand at room temperature for one hour or longer. 3. Shape meat into twelve patties; cut frankfurters in half, lengthwise; broil, fry or grill, basting frequently with sauce. 4. Split buns and heat in oven. 5. Dip cut sides of buns into sauce, add meat patty to each bottom bun, cover with frankfurter, dill pickle and top bun. |
