An attractive presentation for an appetizer that's a little different. Recipe and photo from Holiday Appetizers Ingredients:
1/2 c each shelled pecans, walnuts and pistachios |
6 oz of cream cheese at room temperature |
4 oz blue cheese |
12 oz seedless grapes, stemmed, rinsed and dried |
garnish: grape leaves, rinsed and dried (or buy from craft store |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350 2. Bake separately on a baking sheet for about 8 to 10 minutes sitrring once or twice until lightly toasted, let cool 3. Place nuts, each kind separately in a processor and pulse until coarsley chopped, do not over process 4. Place in separate bowls 5. Remove and wipe blade and processor bowl clean 6. Add cheeses; process until blended and smooth; scrape into a medium bowl 7. Line a rimmed baking sheet with wax paper 8. Gently fold the grapes into the cheese mixture 9. Remove one coated grape at a time with a spoon, then push grape gently into one of the bowls of nuts 10. Shake bowl to turn grape until coated 11. Place on lined sheet 12. To serve: arrange grapes on a leaf-lined plate to resemble a bunch of grapes 13. Makes approximately 60 grapes - allow two to three a person |
