Easy. I substitute 1 can (28 oz.) White kidney beans & 2 cans (56 oz. total) Romano beans for the red kidney beans. For ease of weighing use 3 cans of tomatoes. Ingredients:
5 pounds extra lean ground beef (5% fat) |
10 oz. yellow onion |
14 oz. yellow or orange peppers |
1 cup raw mushroom |
5 1/2 fl. oz. hunts tomato paste |
2388 ml tomatoes, president's choice, diced, salt free |
1 tablespoon garlic, chopped |
1/4 cup kraft barbecue sauce hickory sauce |
1/4 cup chili powder |
84 ounces red kidney beans |
Directions:
1. Cook and drain beef. Chop and add vegetables. Drain and rinse beans 2. and add all remaining ingredients. Simmer on low for 2-3 hours. 3. 12 ounces per serving. |
