Very moist, freezes well. I like to ice with cream cheese frosting. Everyone loves this cake. Ingredients:
2/3 cup milk, skim |
1 tbsp vinegar |
3/4 cup margarine |
1 2/3 cup sugar |
2 eggs, large |
2 bananas, mashed |
1 tsp vanilla |
2 cups flour |
3/4 cup cocoa |
1 1/2 tsp baking powder |
1 tsp baking soda |
3/4 tsp salt |
Directions:
1. Combine milk with vinegar and set aside.
2. Cream together margarine, sugar, eggs, banana & vanilla.
3. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with soured milk.
4. Divide the batter between two greased & floured 9 inch round pans.
5. Bake at 350 F for 40-45 minutes.
6. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pans before turning out onto wire racks.
7. Cool completely before frosting.
