This a good recipe for finger food for a party as an appetizer. Going to have sort of a get together tomorrow night. The other day I saw a recipe for these in a magazine but I have changed it around to my liking with the ingredients that I had on hand they turned out so good and tasty. Read more . I serve these with baked potatoes or French fries, Cole slaw or julienned carrots and celery just what ever I want with it. My whole family wants them again. Ingredients:
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour |
2 tsp. garlic powder |
1 tsp. paprika |
1/2 tsp. onion powder |
1 tsp. salt |
1/2 tsp. pepper |
2 large eggs, lightly beaten |
2 cups crushed french's fried onions, crushed |
cooking spray |
1/3 cup hot pepper sauce, plus 1 tsp. (such as tabasco) |
1/2 tsp. worcestershire sauce |
1 tbsp. butter |
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 400*F. 2. Combine first 6 ingredients in a shallow dish, stirring with a whisk. 3. Place eggs in a shallow dish. 4. Place crushed onions in a shallow dish. 5. Working with 1 fish strip at a time, dredge in flour mixture. 6. Dip in eggs, dredge in onions. 7. Place on a baking sheet lined with nonstick foil. 8. Repeat with remaining fish strips. 9. Lightly coat the fish with cooking spray 10. Bake for 10 minutes or until done, turning once 11. Combine hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce in a small saucepan, bring to a boil. 12. Reduce heat and simmer 1 minute. 13. Remove from heat and stir in butter until melted. 14. I use just a bit of this sauce to drizzle over the fish. Then use the rest of it as a dipping sauce. If you do not like a hot sauce you can use a seafood dip or ranch dressing. |
