TOH Annual 1996, as requested Ingredients:
1 (1 ounce) package elbow macaroni |
3 tablespoons butter |
3 tablespoons flour |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 dash pepper |
1 cup milk |
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. Cook the macaroni according to the package directions. 2. Drain and set aside, keeping warm. 3. In a saucepan over medium low heat, melt butter. 4. Add flour, salt and pepper; stir to make a smooth paste. 5. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly. 6. Heat and stir until thickened. 7. Remove from heat; stir in cheese until melted. 8. pour over macaroni and mix well. 9. Makes 4 servings. |
