I believe it is my duty as an Ohioan to post my family's delicious recipe for the team-supporting treat that mimics a peanut butter cup. Ingredients:
1 lb peanut butter |
1 1/2 lbs powdered sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 cup margarine |
1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips |
1/4 stick paraffin wax |
Directions:
1. Mix peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla. 2. Add margarine. 3. Roll into balls and let chill thoroughly. 4. Melt chocolate chips and parafin. Dip balls in the chocolate mixture. Toothpicks are a smart choice. Traditionally, leave a portion of the ball uncoated. 5. Place dipped balls on waxed paper-covered cookie sheets and refrigerate. |
