A recipe from the recipe box my Bubbe left behind after she passed away. I treasure her recipes! Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1/3 cup fat |
4 onions, sliced |
2 green peppers, sliced |
1 (8 ounce) can mushrooms |
3 cups tomatoes |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 (16 ounce) package broad egg noodles |
Directions:
1. Brown 4 ground patties in fat. Remove patties. 2. Sauté the onions and peppers. 3. Add mushrooms, tomatoes and salt. 4. Top with patties and lay uncooked noodles over top. 5. Cover and bring to a boil. 6. Turn to low heat and cook for 40 minutes. |
