This recipe is from an ex boyfriend who actually won a state cooking contest with it. I use it on ribs, chicken and sausage. I have also used it in the crockpot with Lil' Smokies. Ingredients:
2/3 cup onion, finely chopped |
2 tablespoons vinegar |
3 tablespoons brown sugar |
1 cup ketchup |
3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon celery seed |
1 tablespoon yellow mustard |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 cup water |
5 drops louisiana hot sauce |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and whisk well. 2. Simmer on low heat for about an hour to allow flavors to meld. 3. Brush the sauce on your meats as you are grilling. |
