Brussel Sprouts With Pecan Butter |

Good brussel sprouts side dish with pecan brown butter. Ingredients:
1 lb. brussel sprouts,trimmed and an x cut into the base of each sprout |
2tbs. extra virgin olive oil |
1tbs unsalted butter |
1/4c chopped pecans |
salt and fresh ground pepper |
pinch of brown sugar |
Directions:
1. In a steamer set over boiling water,stream Brussel sprouts,covered 7-8 mins,until just tender. Drain under cold running water to stop them from cooking.(you can do this step 1 day in advance) 2. In large skillet,heat oil and butter. Add nuts;cook over medium heat until golden brown. Add sprouts,salt ,pepper and sugar. Saute 1 to 2 minutes,until heated through! |
