I never had brussel sprouts this way until I had them on vacation at my friends. She told me people love them prepeared this way. The secret is the way one cuts them into very thin strips. Ingredients:
1 box of brussel sprouts cleaned and stems removed |
some olive oil |
salt and pepper |
fresh squeezed lime juice to taste |
Directions:
1. clean and remove stems from brusell sprouts 2. Cut each sprout in half and then then thinly slice eash half as you were preparinng cabbage for coleslaw 3. Saute them in some olive oil until tender but not over cooked 4. Add salt and fresh grated black pepper to taste. 5. Then sqeeze on some fresh lime juice 6. If you want some extra zing, add some grated lime zest 7. I personaly would saute in some finely chopped shallots |
