A simple, healthy and tasty way of serving brussel sprouts. If you prefer the brussel sprouts mushy rather than crispy and browned, just remove the brussel sprouts from the oven after the initial cooking. Ingredients:
2 cups brussels sprouts, cut in half |
1 tbsp. kosher salt |
1 1/2 tbsp olive oil or butter |
2 tsp thyme |
1 pinch of nutmeg |
1 salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Soak brussel sprouts for 5-10 minutes in water with kosher salt. 2. Drain. 3. Mix brussel sprouts with olive oil, thyme, nutmeg, salt and pepper. 4. Cover and bake 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees until done. 5. Remove cover, cook for 2 minutes at 550 degrees. |
