From the box of Kraft Stovetop Mix. A family from church made this for us, and we all absolutely loved it! Very hearty and tasty! Can easily be doubled. Note: You can substitute a bit of garlic powder for the cloves of garlic. :) Ingredients:
1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained |
1 (8 ounce) package seasoned stuffing mix |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces |
1 teaspoon dried basil leaves |
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F. 2. Place tomatoes with their liquid in medium bowl. 3. Add stuffing mix, 3/4 cup hot water and garlic; stir just until stuffing mix is moistened. 4. Set aside. 5. Place chicken in 13x9-inch baking dish; sprinkle with basil and cheese. 6. Top with the prepared stuffing. 7. Bake 30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. |
