A quick alternative to all day clean out the freezer , cast iron kettle, slow cooked down home make the fire dept. or church some money old fashion brunswick stew... Ingredients:
1 can diced tomatoes |
2 cups okra |
1 can veg all |
1 can whole kernel corn, drained |
1 can small limas |
2 cups canned chicken |
1 can corn beef |
8 oz smoke sausage sliced 1/2 inch slices ( optional ) |
1 small can pork or 4 oz. cubed ham |
14 oz. chicken broth |
1cup v8 juice |
salt & pepper |
1 cup small elbow noodles ( dried) |
1 tsp. franks hot sauce ( optional ) |
Directions:
1. In dutch oven , combine all vegtables (do not drain except for corn), meats and juice. Bring to boil . Add broth salt & pepper to taste .stir in elbow macaroni cook until macaroni is done . Stir frequently. serve. |
