Brunch Style Bacon And Cheese Grits |

This was also served at the Brunch and was my favorite... we made it the night before and it worked out wonderful...it was a big hit..also from a recent issue of Parties Mag. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups quick cooking grits |
3 cups grated cheddar cheese |
3 large eggs, beaten |
1/3 cup milk |
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper |
5 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled, divided |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 2. Cook grits according to package directions; remove from heat. 3. Add two cups of cheese, milk, ground red pepper, and 3 slices crumbled bacon; stir well. 4. Pour into a buttered 3 quart baking dish. 5. Top with remaining cheese and crumbled bacon. 6. Bake for 20 minutes. 7. Can be made the night before then pulled out and baked. |
