I developed this recipe out of my other brownie recipe when my husband no longer wanted to eat grains (along with not eating sugar). This recipe is very tasty and even has a good texture, with no grains of any sort. Ingredients:
150 g butter |
2 tablespoons honey (or more to taste) |
2 eggs |
45 g cocoa powder |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
120 g almonds, chopped |
Directions:
1. Allow butter to soften, or melt. Preheat oven to 175°C or 325°F. 2. Prepare a small baking dish, or individual dishes. 3. If using a food processor or mixer, combine all ingredients and process until smooth and combined. If mixing by hand, combine butter and cocoa powder, then add eggs, honey and vanilla. Stir in the nuts. 4. Bake for about 20 minutes in one dish, or about 15 minutes in individual dishes. Finished brownies should be a bit firm to the touch. 5. Note: Taste-test the batter for the right amount of honey, then let them cool to fully enjoy the taste. |
