This is an old recipe but my family loves it...If you like chocolate you will too... Ingredients:
brownies |
* 2 sticks butter |
3 or 4 tlbs cocoa |
1 cup water |
2 cups sugar |
2 cups plain flour |
2 eggs |
1/2 cup buttermilk |
1 tsp soda |
icing |
* 1 stick butter |
6 tbls buttermilk |
3 or 4 tlbs cocoa |
1 box powdered sugar |
1 tsp vanilla extract |
1 cup pecans chopped |
Directions:
1. Brownies; Bring to boil butter, cocoa and water, pour over sugar and flour which has been mixed well. Add and mix eggs,buttermilk and soda. Bake at 300 degrees in a greased and floured 9 by 13 pan for 45 minutes. 2. Icing: Bring to boil butter buttermilk and cocoa. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar,vanilla and mix well. 3. Add pecans. Pour over hot cake.....Enjoy 4. * You can also use margerine! |
