Brownies From The Back Of A Hershey Can |

When I was first learning to bake, I was allowed to make these brownies myself. The recipe was on the back of the Hershey Cocoa tin. They may still publish it there but I wrote it down in case they stopped doing that. Ingredients:
5 tbl shortening |
1/3 c cocoa |
2 eggs |
1c of sugar |
1 tsp vanilla |
1/2 c flour |
1/4 tsp salt |
1/2 tsp baking powder |
1/4 c chopped nuts, optional |
Directions:
1. Melt shortening and stir in cocoa, blend well 2. Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla together 3. Beat into chocolate mixture, mixing well 4. Stir in dry ingredients 5. Stir in optional nuts 6. Place in prepared 8' square pan 7. Bake at 350F for about 30 minutes |
