A classic treat. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs semisweet chocolate, chopped |
1 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces |
6 large eggs |
2 cups sugar |
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract |
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F 2. Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan and then line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper. 3. Melt the chocolate and butter in a stainless steel bowl placed over a saucepan of simmering water. Remove from heat and set aside. 4. Meanwhile, in a large bowl whisk together the eggs and sugar. 5. Fold in the melted chocolate mixture and vanilla extract. 6. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt and then fold into the chocolate and sugar mixture until well combined. 7. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for about 45 - 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. 8. Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack. |
