yummy chocolate brownies! Ingredients:
1/2 cup all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup white sugar |
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder |
1 tablespoon shortening, melted |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1/4 cup milk |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
1 cup brown sugar |
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder |
1 cup boiling water |
Directions:
1. 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2. 2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, white sugar and 1 tablespoon cocoa. 3. 3. Stir in shortening, vanilla and milk until smooth. Fold in nuts. 4. 4. Spread mixture in a 1 quart baking dish. 5. 5. Stir together brown sugar, 1 tablespoon cocoa and boiling water. Pour carefully over pudding mixture in baking dish. 6. 6. Bake in preheated oven 30 to 45 minutes, until set. |
