I like this as an alternative to the traditional graham cracker base other magic bar recipes. I hope you enjoy it too... Ingredients:
nonstick cooking spray |
parchment paper |
8 tablespoons butter |
1 (20 ounce) package brownie mix |
1 1/2 cups sweetened flaked coconut |
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips |
1 cup butterscotch chips |
1 cup chopped pecans or 1 cup walnuts |
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Lightly spray the bottom of a 9X13 inch pan with non-stick spray. 3. Line the bottom and sides of the pan with parchment paper, extending the edges 2-3 inches beyond the pan. 4. Place the butter on the parchment paper. 5. Place in oven until the butter melts, about 5 minute 6. Remove pan from oven and spread brownie mix evenly over the melted butter. 7. Layer coconut over the brownie mix. 8. Scatter chocolate and butterscotch chips evenly over coconut. 9. Top with chopped nuts. 10. Drizzle condensed milk over entire pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 min, until bubbling and edges are lightly browned. 11. Cool for 30 minutes before removing from pan. 12. Cut and serve. |
