Another recipe courtesy of my Mom - she's had it in her cookbook for years...Enjoy! Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups coarse dry breadcrumbs |
1 cup semisweet chocolate, cut into 1 inch chunks |
3/4 cup sugar |
1 1/2 cups milk |
1 tablespoon butter |
1 egg |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional) |
Directions:
1. Combine breadcrumbs, chocolate chunks, sugar& milk in the top of a double boiler until chocolate is melted. 2. Stir in butter. 3. In a small dish, beat egg& salt together and add into chocolate mixture, along with walnuts. 4. Pour into a greased 1 quart dish. 5. Set dish in a pan filled with 1 of water and bake at 350 degrees for about 55 minutes, until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. |
