Brown Sugar Shortbread Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened |
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed |
2 1/4 cups flour |
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and brown sugar. 2. Gradually stir in the flour. 3. Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth, about 3 minutes. 4. Pat into a 1/3 thick rectangle measuring 11 x8 . 5. Cut into 2 x1 strips. 6. Place 1 apart on ungreased cookie sheets. 7. Prick with a fork. 8. Bake at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes or until bottom begins to brown. 9. Cool for 5 minutes. 10. Remove to a wire rack to cool completely. |
