Brown Sugar Pudding Cake

This is a wonderful old recipe that's been handed down through our family from my grandmother.
Ingredients:
sauce:
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon king arthur unbleached all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups boiling water
pudding:
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup king arthur unbleached all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup milk
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, combine all sauce ingredients. Pour into a 1-1/2-qt. baking dish; set aside.
2. For pudding, in a large bowl, beat butter and sugar. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt and nuts; gradually add to butter mixture alternately with milk. Spoon into baking dish. Bake at 350° for 40-45 minutes until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Yield: 6-8 servings.
