This is my mother-in-law's old-fashioned brown sugar fudge recipe. My husband's favourite Christmas treat! Ingredients:
2 cups brown sugar |
1 cup whipping cream |
Directions:
1. Combine brown sugar and whipping cream in a heavy saucepan. Boil until a candy thermometer reads 240 F (stirring constantly). 2. Take off the heat and plunge pan into cold water, to an inch of the top of the pan. Beat with portable beaters until mixture thickens. Pour into a buttered pan. Cool and cut into squares. |
