Ingredients:
2 (10 1/2-ounce) cans beef consomme |
1 small onion, chopped |
2 tablespoons butter or margarine |
1 cup uncooked brown rice |
3/4 cup sliced fresh mushrooms |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil in a medium saucepan; stir in rice. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes. Add mushrooms; cover and simmer 20 more minutes or until all liquid is absorbed. Stir in pepper. |
