brown lentils and chicken dhal
Ingredients:
384 g lentils
1 tsp. ground turmeric
1 large onion
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. ginger, minced
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. coriander
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 lb chicken thigh
Directions:
1. boil lentils in ~ 6 cups of water and tumeric until all the water is absorbed/evaporated
2. in a skillet brown onion in lemon juice and a tiny bit of oil, add chicken and spices as desired and cook until done
3. Mix chicken and lentils together and eat alone or in tortilla
