brown lentils and chicken dhal Ingredients:
384 g lentils |
1 tsp. ground turmeric |
1 large onion |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
2 cloves garlic, minced |
1 tsp. ginger, minced |
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon |
1/8 tsp. ground cloves |
1 tsp. cumin |
1 tsp. coriander |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
3 lb chicken thigh |
Directions:
1. boil lentils in ~ 6 cups of water and tumeric until all the water is absorbed/evaporated 2. in a skillet brown onion in lemon juice and a tiny bit of oil, add chicken and spices as desired and cook until done 3. Mix chicken and lentils together and eat alone or in tortilla |
