Broiled Oriental Pork

From the book, Heart of the Palms. Preparation time is marinating time.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons sugar
2 scallions, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
2 lbs pork tenderloin, cut 1/4-inch thick
1 tablespoon peanut oil
Directions:
1. Combine first seven ingredients in bowl.
2. Add pork slices and marinate at room temperature for 1 hour, turning meat frequently.
3. Remove meat from marinade and place on a lightly oiled broiler pan.
4. Broil 5 minutes on each side or until well-browned.
5. Pour remaining marinade into a saucepan and bring to a boil.
6. Serve with the pork.
