This is a great side dish for any meal and really easy to make. I also use frozen broccoli if I don't have fresh on hand. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil |
2 tablespoons chopped garlic |
2 pounds broccoli florets |
1/2 cup water |
1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese (not the stuff in the green can!) |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in large skillet over medium high heat. Add garlic and stir 30 seconds. 2. Add broccoli and toss to coat. Add 1/2 cup water. Cover skillet and cook until broccoli is crisp-tender and water is gone (5 to 7 minutes) 3. Add cheese and toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste 4. NOTE: The cheese will not melt on this dish it is just used as a seasoning |
