Broccoli with Caramelized Garlic and Pine Nuts |

Buy bagged broccoli florets for convenience. Ingredients:
1/3 cup pine nuts |
1/4 cup butter |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
6 garlic cloves, thinly sliced |
1 pound broccoli florets |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon dried crushed red pepper |
Directions:
1. Toast pine nuts in a large skillet over medium heat 6 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from skillet, and set aside. 2. Heat butter and oil in same skillet over medium heat until butter melts. Add garlic, and sauté 1 to 2 minutes or until lightly browned. Add broccoli, salt, and crushed red pepper. Sauté 8 minutes or until broccoli is tender. Stir in pine nuts before serving. |
