This sound great. I haven't tried it yet but I love broccoli. Ingredients:
2 lbs fresh broccoli |
6 slices bacon |
3/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts (optional) |
1/2 cup sliced green onion |
Directions:
1. Remove broccoli leaves, cut tough stalk ends off. 2. Wash and cut into spears. 3. Cook in boiling water for 6 to 8 minutes or until tender; drain. 4. Keep warm in serving dish. 5. Cook 2 tb drippings in skillet. 6. Crumble bacon and put aside. 7. Cook walnuts, if desired, in drippings over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, 3 minutes. 8. Add green onions, and cook for 2 minutes. 9. Stir constantly. 10. Spoon over broccoli. 11. Sprinkle bacon on. |
