Broccoli with Almond Breadcrumb Topping |

A change in taste with broccoli, very nice, from Cooking light. I sprinkled a few sliced almonds on top, added to the nutty flavour. Ingredients:
6 cups chopped fresh broccoli |
1/3 cup dry breadcrumbs |
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese |
2 tablespoons finely chopped almonds |
1 teaspoon dried basil |
1 teaspoon dried oregano |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. 2. Cook the broccoli in boiling water for 2 minutes, and drain. 3. rinse with cold water, and drain well. 4. Place the broccoli in an 11 x 7 inch baking dish. 5. Combine the breadcrumbs, cheese, almonds, basil, oregano and 1/4 teaspoon each salt and black pepper, and sprinkle the crumb mixture evenly over the broccoli. 6. Bake at 450F degrees for 15 minutes or until the topping is golden. |
