Broccoli Salad With a Twist |

This a variation of the traditional broccoli salad with craisins, bacon bits, sunflower seeds, red onion and poppy seed dressing. I came up with this in response to a healthy carry-in challenge where we were encouraged to bring something from a list of 10 ingredients. Cooking time is chill time. Ingredients:
6 cups broccoli florets, bite size pieces |
1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced |
1/2 cup dried cranberries |
1 large apple, diced |
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped |
8 ounces poppy seed dressing |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. 2. Chill 2 hours before serving. |
