A tasty version of broccoli salad. Great to serve as a side dish in the hot months of summer. Ingredients:
1 head broccoli, chopped bite-size |
1/4 c real bacon bits or bacon bacon (tastefully simple) |
1/2 c red onion, diced |
1 c grapes, halved |
8 oz cheddar cheese, shredded or very small cubes |
1 c mayo |
2 tbsp white vinegar |
1/4 c splenda |
1/4 c sunflower kernels |
s and p to taste |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl place broccoli, bacon, onion, grapes and cheese. 2. In a small bowl add mayo, vinegar, Splenda, s and p. Mix well. 3. Pour over veggie mixture and gently combine. 4. Let sit in fridge 30-40 minutes. 5. When ready to serve, stir add sunflower seeds. |
