This is especially nice for a buffet or a summer luncheon. Ingredients:
3 bunches fresh broccoli (small) |
1 lb fresh mushrooms, slices |
2 green onions, finely chopped |
1/3 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon paprika |
1 teaspoon celery seed |
1 tablespoon onion powder |
1 cup oil |
1/4 cup cider vinegar or 1/4 cup wine vinegar |
Directions:
1. Wash broccoli and break into florets. 2. Mix with mushrooms and onions in a sturdy plastic bag. 3. Combine all the dressing ingredients and pour over vegetables, coating all. 4. Marinate in refrigerator for 2 hours, tossing occasionally. 5. Drain off excess liquid before serving. |
