A very nice recipe to spruce up the plain ole broccoli. This one is herby and the red wine gives it a great flavor second to none. I serve this with grilled chicken and sliced tomatoes. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Ingredients:
1 small bunch broccoli |
3 tablespoons olive oil |
2 cloves garlic, sliced |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1-1/2 cups dry red wine |
Directions:
1. Trim broccoli and cut into small florets. 2. Wash well and drain. 3. Place olive oil and garlic in large skillet and brown garlic. 4. Add broccoli, salt and pepper then cook 5 minutes. 5. Add wine then cover skillet and cook over very low flame for 20 minutes or until broccoli is tender stirring gently so as not to break florets. |
