great vegetable side dish & it adds color to any plate Ingredients:
1 bunch (1lb.) fresh broccoli |
1 1/2 tbsp.olive oil |
1 1/2 cloves garlic unpeeled, minced |
1/2 cup parmesan cheese |
1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice |
salt & pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. wash broccoli,removing tough ends,peel stems if tough Split broccoli into separte flowerets. Cut pieces so they are no more than 3 long 2. Put broccoil into steamer basket. Steam for approximately 10 min. or until broccoli is bright green but still tender-crisp in texture 3. Remove onto heated serving dish cover 4. Heat olive oil with the garlic; remove garlic after 3-4 minutes & discard. Pour hot oil over broccoli. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese & lemon juice, sprinkle with salt & pepper. Keep hot or serve immediately |
