I have not tried this recipe. I got this recipe from Ossg Recipes. Ingredients:
2 lbs broccoli, cut into 3-inch long florets |
salt |
2 egg whites, room temperature |
1/2 cup mayonnaise |
1/3 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese (not the stuff in the green can!) |
1/4 cup dried parsley flakes, crumbled |
1 grated lemon, rind of |
2 tablespoons butter, melted (1/4 stick) |
Directions:
1. Cook broccoli in a 5-6 quart saucepan of lightly salted boiling water until. 2. crisp tender, about 3-4 minutes. Drain; rinse under cold water and drain. 3. again. 4. Preheat oven to 425°F Beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Gently fold in. 5. mayonnaise, cheese, parsley flakes and grated lemon peel. 6. Arrange broccoli in 1 1/2 to 2 quart ovenproof glass baking dish. Drizzle with melted butter. Spread egg white mixture over top. Bake until top is puffy and golden brown, about 5 minutes. Serve immediately. |
