Not low fat by any means. Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter |
1/2 cup finely diced onion |
1/2 cup finely diced celery |
1/2 cup grated carrot |
1/4 cup flour |
1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch |
1 quart chicken stock |
1 quart milk |
1 1/2 lbs cubed american cheese |
2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes |
1 pinch red cayenne pepper |
10 ounces frozen broccoli (thawed) |
Directions:
1. Saute vegetables until tender. 2. Add flour, stir until foamy. 3. Add chicken stock and milk. Stir. Add cornstarch, cubed cheese, parsley and pepper. 4. Heat through. 5. Add thawed broccoli. 6. Heat through and serve. |
