My favorite quiche...a favorite to bring to family brunch. Ingredients:
1 refrigerated pie shell (or you can make your own) |
5 large eggs |
2 c half and half |
3/4 lb broccoli, par cooked and chopped |
french fried onions |
1-2 cloves garlic, minced |
2 c cheddar cheese (or any combo you like) |
nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees. 2. Add broccoli and cheese to crust-lined pie plate. 3. In a large bowl, add eggs and beat slightly. 4. Add half and half, french fried onions, garlic, and seasonings. Mix well. 5. Pour over broccoli and cheese. 6. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce oven to 350 degrees and bake for 30 minutes or until cooked through. 7. Let sit at least 10 minutes before serving. |
