2 -3 cups broccoli, chopped |
4 tablespoons butter |
2 tablespoons flour |
1 1/3 cups milk |
1/4 cup romano cheese, shredded (or parmesan) |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Cook pasta according to package directions and drain. 2. Meanwhile, steam broccoli until tender, but still crisp, about 5 minutes, and drain. 3. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. 4. Whisk in flour until smooth. 5. Gradually whisk in milk. 6. Bring to a boil, and cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. 7. Season with salt and pepper. 8. Remove from heat and stir in the cheese and broccoli. 9. Toss with the pasta to coat. |
