1tbsp butter |
1tsp oil |
2 onions |
1 leek |
1 garlic |
2 pints of water |
1 bay leaf |
sprig of rosemary |
sprig of thyme |
1 lb broad beans |
12 fl oz milk |
ground nutmeg |
salt and pepper |
chopped bacon |
Directions:
1. Saute onions and garlic season 2. add water and herbs bring to the boil 3. simmer add beans 4. fry the bacon 5. stir in bacon to soup 6. add salt pepper and nutmeg 7. simmer for 10 minutes |
