This sauce is thinner than a Texas sauce, but it blends perfectly with the smoky beef flavor. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups cider vinegar |
1 cup ketchup |
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar |
1/4 cup worcesteshire sauce |
2 tablespoons butter |
1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder |
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder |
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper |
Directions:
1. Stir together all ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer, stirring occasionaly, 5 to 7 minutes or until sugar dissolves. |
