I have not tried this recipe, but it looks very good. Prep time is rising time. From Quick and Tasty Bread Ingredients:
6 cups flour, plus more for kneading |
1 tablespoon active dry yeast |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 bunch green onions or 1 bunch scallion, thinly sliced, white and pale green parts only |
2 cups warm water |
10 1/2 ounces brie cheese, cut into 1/2 in chunks (or camembert) |
1 egg, beaten, for glaze |
sesame seeds, for decorating |
Directions:
1. Place the flour, yeast, sugar, salt, green onions, and water. Mix until a sticky dough forms. 2. Knead the dough in a well-floured surface, until dough is elastic and smooth, about 5 minutes. 3. Place dough in a greased bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 11/2 hours Meanwhile grease a baking sheet. 4. Knead the risen dough to get the air out and divide into 12-16 equal portions. 5. Form balls of dough with your hands and place a piece of cheese in center. Enclose all of the cheese in the dough and seal the seam well. Place on baking sheet seam-side down. Repeat with remaining dough. 6. Let dough balls rise until double in size, 30-45 minutes. 7. Heat the oven to 359 degrees. 8. Glaze the rolls with beaten egg and sprinkle evenly with sesame seeds. 9. Bake 25-30 minutes. Remove from baking sheet and cool in a rack. |
