Nooo. I don't think you need to be a bride to eat these bars. Sounds good. Quick and Easy. VARIATIONS: Chocolate cake mix/Cherry pie filling, Spice cake mix/Apple pie filling, Banana cake mix/Blueberry pie filling, Strawberry cake mix/Stawberry pie filling. Ingredients:
1 (18 ounce) box cake mix |
2 large eggs (for chewy bars) or 3 eggs (for cake-like bars) |
1 (21 ounce) can pie filling |
1/2 cup nuts (optional) |
2 cups powdered sugar |
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened |
3 tablespoons cocoa |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. In large mixing bowl, combine mix, eggs, filling and nuts. 3. Spread this mixture on a greased jelly-roll pan. 4. Bake 30 minutes. 5. FROSTING: Combine ingredients in bowl and spread over cooled cake. 6. Cut into bars. |
