These small cake-like sweets are as delicious as the town they come from: Leiria (Portugal) Ingredients:
2 oz ground almonds |
7 oz caster sugar |
4 large eggs, beaten |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients and bake in small, well buttered patty tins, in 400 F oven for 20 minutes or until golden and set. 2. Serve in frilled paper cases, for tea or with liqueurs or port. 3. Enjoy! It makes about a dozen brisas. |
