hearty breakfast casserole Ingredients:
8 eggs |
1 (5 ounce) can evaporated milk |
1/2 cup cheddar cheese |
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese |
1 (6 ounce) can mushrooms |
12 ounces breakfast sausage |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 cup onion |
1 garlic clove |
8 ounces crusty bread |
Directions:
1. night before: 2. cube bread. 3. put in greased 13x9 dish. 4. chop garlic, onion. 5. saute until soft. 6. add and brown sausage. 7. drain. 8. add mushrooms. 9. salt, pepper to taste. 10. cool. 11. put in large bowl, add eggs, milk. 12. pour over bread. 13. cover, refrigerate overnite. 14. next day:. 15. preheat oven 350. 16. put cheese on top. 17. cover with aluminum. 18. bake 40-45 minute. 19. uncover. 20. bake 10-15 minute. 21. let stand 10 minute. |
